     Annular oil groove and three oil holes can be machined on outer ring to improve lubrication.

    The self aligning ball bearing is a bearing equipped with spherical balls between the inner ring of two raceways and the outer ring with spherical raceways.

    The center of curvature of the outer ring raceway surface is consistent with the center of the bearing, so it has the self-aligning function. When the shaft and casing deflect, it can be adjusted automatically without increasing the bearing burden.The self-aligning ball bearing is mainly used to bear radial load. While bearing radial load, it can also bear a small amount of axial load, but generally cannot bear pure axial load, and its limit speed is lower than that of deep groove ball bearings.Self aligning bearings are mostly used on double support shafts that are easy to bend under load, and in parts with double socket holes that cannot guarantee strict coaxiality, but the relative inclination of the inner line center line and the outer ring center line must not exceed 3 degree.

    The inner holes of the self aligning bearings 12, 13, 22 and 23 series can be cylindrical or conical. The self-aligning bearing with a taper of 1:12 in the bearing bore can be installed directly on the conical shaft, or it can be installed on the cylindrical shaft through an adapter sleeve.

    Self aligning bearings are divided into open and sealed designs. Self aligning bearing series 12, 13, 22 and 23 also have sealed design bearings, which have contact seals on both sides with the suffix 2RS.

    Lubrication and working temperature of aligning ball bearings:

    Aligning ball bearings with dust cover and sealing ring have been filled with proper amount of grease during assembly. They should not be heated or cleaned before installation, and no relubrication is needed during use.

    The operating temperature is limited by the grease and the sealing material, so the operating temperature range is also different: the open bearing with brass cage has an operating temperature range of –30°C to 150°C; bearings with glass fiber reinforced nylon cage have a maximum operating temperature of 120°C; the operating temperature range of sealed aligning ball bearings is –30°C to 100°C.
